Funeral Services Planned for Man Killed by Former Wolfe City Police Officer

(L-R) Wolfe City Police Officer Shaun Lucas, Jonathon Price, 31)

WOLFE CITY (WBAP/KLIF) – Funeral services are planned for this weekend in Hunt County for the black man allegedly shot and killed by a former Wolfe City Police Officer.

A public visitation for 31-year-old Jonathan Price was held Friday until 6 p.m. at the Love & Integrity Funeral Home.

Homegoing services for Price will be held at the Wolfe City High School Football field Saturday morning at 11. Because of COVID-19, guests are required to wear masks. After the service, a procession by horse-drawn carriage will take Price to Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hunt County.

Former Wolfe City Police Officer Shaun Lucas is charged with murder after the Texas rangers say he shot Price four times at a Wolfe City gas station. Lucas says price ignored commands, but investigators claim the shooting wasn’t reasonable.
