North Texas Hits Over 2,000 Coronavirus Deaths

(WBAP/KLIF) — The Dallas-Fort Worth area saw another 952 new positive tests for Coronavirus, Thursday. Tarrant county led the way with nearly 782,000 positive tests along with over 16,300 deaths due to COVID-19. North Texas has almost 169,000 positives and over 2,000 fatalities.

Dallas county reports 1,044 fatalities due to COVID-19, Tarrant county 685 deaths, Collin 161, and Denton county lost 113 residents.  The total number of Coronavirus positive tests is nearing 169,000 in the Metroplex, as Dallas county reports over 85,000, Tarrant county nearly 54,000, Collin county lists close to 16,000 positives, while Denton county shows just under 14,000 confirmed tests.

Tarrant county 53,838 positive tests (546 new), 685 deaths, 1.3% mortality rate

Collin county 15,923 positive tests (109 new), 161 deaths, 1% mortality rate

Denton county 13,993 positive tests (100 new – 89 active), 113 deaths, 0.8% mortality rate

Metroplex 168,786 positive tests (952 new), 2,003 deaths, 1.2% mortality rate

Texas 781,794 positive tests (3,786 new), 16,334 deaths (104 new), 2.1% mortality rate
