DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A DFW oil and gas driller is having to lay off employees because of struggles caused by the pandemic.
Irving based pioneer natural resources has laid off some 300 employees Tuesday.
The layoffs are evenly split between those in the corporate office in Irving and those working at the Permian basin operation.
Folks were given a severance package.
Globally, oil prices have tumbled as many countries have shut down their economies.
