Royce City Police Investigating Attempted Assault of Teenager Walking Along Highway

ROYSE CITY  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Royse City police are investigating a report about the alleged assault of a teenager who was walking along HWY 66 just west of County Line Road on Sunday.

Investigators said a woman called police and claimed her 16-year-old daughter had been grabbed by a man who had approached her from a wooded area around 5:30 p.m..

The girl said the man grabbed and pulled her but she was able to get away.

The victim told police the man may have been homeless because his clothing was very dirty.

He’s white, in his thirties to forties, around 5’4″ tall, thin with an unkempt brown mustache and beard.

He was wearing a gray, zip-up style sweatshirt with a hood.

Officers searched the area where the alleged assault happened but where unable to locate the suspect.
