(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas reported over 773,000 total positive tests of Coronavirus, Tuesday, along with over 16,100 deaths. The mortality rate is inching downward as the total number of deaths in Dallas county sits at 1,038 with a 1.2% fatality rate.
Tarrant county reports 676 fatalities and a 1.3% death rate. Collin county has lost 155 county residents with a mortality rate of 1%, while Denton lists 109 dead and a 0.8% death rate. The DFW mortality rate is 1.2%.
The Dallas-Forth Worth area also saw another nearly 1,900 additional positive tests, Tuesday. Denton county reported 1,240 newly confirmed positive tests, 438 of which are active cases. Tarrant county listed 354 positives, Collin county 126, and Dallas county 172 new positive tests.
The total number of confirmed positives in Dallas county is almost 85,000, Tarrant county nearly 53,000, Collin close to 16,000, and Denton county sits at bout 14,000 positive tests of COVID-19.
