Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Police headquarters and the Dallas Police Association building were both vandalized Thursday night.
The buildings’ facades were covered in red paint hand prints, chalk-type body outlines, and anti-police slogans were scrawled on the sidewalk.
“While I’m out here cleaning after midnight my hands are red with what is meant to signify blood,” said DPA Third Vice President, Jaime Castro. “It angers me, it’s embarrassing, and it’s sad.”
The vandalism was discovered after a small group of protesters marched from the DPA to DPD Headquarters. According to Police, two women were questioned but not arrested.
Castro said Officers remain committed to allowing for freedom of expression, but that they will not tolerate lawlessness. Both buildings are expected to be tightly guarded over the weekend.
