FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- The Tarrant County Health Department announces three new efforts to help with testing and contact tracing.

The first, The Health Department has rolled out at home testing. It’s a pilot program so it’s pretty limited right now with only 50 at home testing kits available daily. However, Public Health Director Vinny Taneja said they want to try it on for a couple of weeks and slowly expand capacity. “We don’t want anyone to have any barriers for testing and that’s why we rolled out these tools” said Taneja.

Go to: www.tarrantcounty.com/selftest and request a kit. If available, a test kit will be mailed to you within a day or two.

Taneja is also urging everyone to also use the self reporting tool and upload your test result on the county’s website.

The county is also launching a campaign to encourage residents to “answer the call” when contact tracers reach out.
