Security Officer Killed in Robbery Outside Dallas Credit Union

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police are searching for the suspect involved in a deadly shooting outside a local credit union. The police released a picture of what they believe is the suspect vehicle shown on the left.

Sergeant Warren Mitchell said a security guard was shot and killed while servicing an ATM with a fellow employee at a credit union at 1515 North Cockrell Hill Road near the WalMart Super Center Monday morning.

Investigators said witnesses said the suspect was carrying a rifle and demanded property.

The suspect managed to get away with two duffle bags from an armored vehicle and jumped into a white, four-door car.

Police said a woman was seen driving the get away car.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

A second armed security officer was present but was not injured.
