Teach For America DFW Launches Campaign to Help North Texas Teachers Amid COVID-19

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Teach For America DFW is launching a campaign to help North Texas teachers during COVID-19.

TFA DFW has about 35-40% percent more teachers in Dallas this year, and these teachers are helping students through the most unprecedented school year.

“This pandemic is having significant effects on Dallas’ lowest-income students, who are experiencing the greatest learning losses. And, the education gaps that existed pre-pandemic are only being exacerbated. We’re in need of as much support for our teachers as we can get from the community,” said Eric Straus with TFA.

By making a donation, you can provide a teacher with Technology Toolkits and COVID-Response Coaching sessions.

$25 helps sponsor a Technology Toolkit. Every $50 sponsors an hour of COVID-Response coaching for a teacher.

Gifts are doubled from now until September 17th thanks to a $50,000 donation from Dallas business leaders, Chris and Joe Popolo.
