DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- When faced with Covid-19 crisis, three North Texas entrepreneurs changed their business to feed their families.
PureBeam Co-Founder David Fisher said he and his partners were in the event production industry but when the pandemic hit, that industry also took a hit.
“We lost everything. We went from multi-million dollar revenue streams to zero… so we looked to pivot from the event production industry to founding PureBeam,” said Fisher.
Fisher said they found they had all the necessary equipment from their event lighting fixtures to be retrofitted and bring medical grade UVC sterilization directly to DFW residents.
Fisher said the UVC Sterilization has been used in hospitals for 60+ years. He said this service make spaces safe and COVID-free in just hours, helping North Texans return to work and get on with life.
“We knew COVID wasn’t going away anytime soon, and we knew there needed to be a way for people to feel safe again in their own homes and workplaces Now, we’re sterilizing everything from offices to wrestling gyms to schools to homes. This is especially great for people who want to put their home on the market, but have had COVID or had a potential buyer walk through who had COVID,” said Fisher.
Fisher said this technology is more effective and cleaner than aerosols. “A lot of the studies now are focusing on the fact that Covid is airborne, well this kills everything in the air and everything on the surface,” said Fisher. “This technology is giving North Texans the confidence to return to their offices when they’ve been treated – it’s propelling the economy forward,” he said.
Fisher said they also wanted to provide an avenue stream for their labor force that they used to use for live events, that are now out of work.
“We want to provide businesses an opportunity to hire our crews to clean their facilities,” said Fisher.
