FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – TCU has announced it has canceled the TCU/SMU football game scheduled for September 11th over concerns surrounding new cases of COVID 19.

In a statement, the university said some student-athletes and support staff have tested positive for the virus and even though no one is facing serious health issues those involved are abiding by CDC guidelines.

There is no word on a possible make up date for the game but TCU said in the statement they will monitor future dates to potentially make up the game.

The game had been scheduled for the evening of September 11th.
