Dallas County Lowers COVID-19 Risk Level as Case Numbers Continue to Drop

(DCHHS)

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County is no longer at its highest COVID-19 threat level as the number of cases in the county continues to drop.

Since May, Dallas County has been at threat level “red” on its color coded chart, advising residents to stay home. But that level is now at “orange” or “extreme caution.” The designation mean doctors now believe it’s safe to do things like go to a swimming pool or a barber shop.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins says some activities still aren’t recommended.

“That includes any gyms, movie theaters, or indoor settings that are more than 25% occupied,” said Jenkins.

While many activities under orange are now deemed safe by doctors, a lot of them have been legal for months.
