FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Fort Worth has seen record numbers of West Nile Virus activity this year, prompting Tarrant County Public Health to issue a public health warning.
The city has now had 110 positive mosquito samples for this season. In order to help residents fight mosquitoes, the city’s library will now be offering free larvicide at all 15 library branches. Residents can stop by any branch during regular hours of operation.
The city is strongly urging residents to practice safe precaution in order to avoid the virus such as dumping standing water and wearing long length clothing.
