MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF)- All lanes for east bound I-30 at 635 are closed due to a major accident in Mesquite.
Diane Tordillo with TxDOT urges everyone to avoid the area and go to the north bound 635 ramp instead. “We are thinking it’s going to be closed until about noon, Police are on scene cleaning up and investigating the cause of the crash” she said.
To avoid any backups, exit early before reaching Motley Drive on eastbound I-30. If forced to go north on I-635, exit at Oates Drive and make a U-turn to go south on I-635.
TxDOT officials say another way to get to I-635 is to exit I-30 at US 80 and then take either ramp to I-635 to avoid some of the congestion.
