ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF) – Collin County is moving its Municipal Court polling location to the Allen Events Center to to accommodate large voter turnout and improve social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Collin County Elections Department, voters can visit Allen Event Center for early voting (October 13-30) or on Election Day (November 3). The Municipal Court polling location on the Allen City Hall campus will not be used for the November 3 election or for early voting.

The new polling location at Allen Event Center will be considered a Mega Vote Center, as it can hold a large number of machines and handle large turnout at polling booths positioned throughout the spacious concourse. Parking at Allen Event Center is free.

In 2016, more than 22,000 voters cast their ballots at Allen’s Municipal Court polling location.

In addition to state and national races, Allen voters will vote for Mayor and Allen City Council Place 2 during the November 3 election.

Collin County voters may cast their ballot at any Collin County voting location during early voting or on Election Day, including the Allen ISD Service Center.
