AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – FEMA and President Trump have approved a Federal Emergency Declaration request submitted by Governor Greg Abbott for help that might be needed because of Tropical Storms Marco and Laura.
The assistance will include federal aid and reimbursement for evacuations and shelters.
Tropical Storm Marco was downgraded from a hurricane Sunday night. Tropical Storm Laura is expected to intensify as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico and could make landfall along the Texas coast as a category 2 or category 3 Hurricane.
