
Grand Prairie, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A massive fire that broke out at the Poly America plant in Grand Prairie Wednesday night was expected to burn for a day or two, but firefighters were able to douse the blaze as of last evening.
The fire started when a when a power line fell onto plastic sheeting in a storage area.
Meantime, the Environmental Protection Agency is flying a special plane around the grand prairie area in the wake of the fire and huge plume of smoke that stretched all the way to Granbury.
The Grand Prairie fire department is investigating the exact cause of the massive fire that was believed to have been started when an overhead power line fell onto rolls of plastic sheeting that were being stored in the area.
