A Parents Group in FTW Protests FWISD’s Online Learning Plan

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – On what would have been the first day of school in Fort Worth, a group of families plan to demonstrate outside the district administration this morning.

The Facebook group dubbed ‘Back in School, Back to Safety‘ is against the district’s online learning plan.

Organizer Katie Stadler, a mother of four, says hundreds of families oppose the plan, and do not believe the district has not done enough to get kids back to school safely.

FWISD will start all virtual learning on Sept 8 for the first four weeks.

Stadler is expecting at least 400 to 500 families to attend today’s demonstration, beginning at 8 a.m., according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
