(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas county received some good news in the battle against the Coronavirus. County Judge Clay Jenkins reported COVID-19 hospitalizations down nearly 25% and emergency room visits around 30% less compared to July.

Jenkins says the good news shouldn’t cause residents to become lax in their social distancing guideline adherance. In addition, Hospital capacity also holds steady at 31% of beds unoccupied and 63% of ventilators not in use. Dallas county reported 641 new cases of COVID-19, Thursday, and 13 additional deaths.
