ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- Taija Horne’s SUV was stolen when she left it running for her service dog Charlotte. Jesse Minton with APD says they found the car in a woman’s garage who was asked to hold it there by the suspect. Charlotte was in her home too. Minton said this lady had know idea it was part of a theft and cooperated with police. He said the suspect will face charges once in custody. “When we can get a car back that’s one thing but to get someone’s service animal, their puppy, something they love back that’s on a whole different level,” said Minton.

Arlington Police are looking for the person who stole a woman’s car with her therapy dog in it.
Tim Ciesco with APD says Taija Horne’s white 2017 Subaru forester was stolen at around 12:25 pm Sunday at the Walgreens parking lot on Matlock road in Arlington.
Ciesco said Horne left her car running, because she didn’t want her service dog, Charlotte, to get too hot waiting the car, when she return minutes later her car was gone.
Horne’s SUV has a red 22-kill sticker on the back window with Texas plate LSS-1851.
Charlotte is a 10-year-old blue and white Pitbull with a microchip.
