ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Allen ISD is offering curbside meal service twice a week to its students, K-12, to help struggling families whose children are now learning from home.
The service starts Wednesday, August 12th, and will give families meal bundles, two breakfasts and two lunches.
This week, the pick up dates are Wednesday and Friday. Starting next week, the pick up dates will be Tuesday and Thursday.
On Tuesday, families will get two breakfasts and two lunches and three breakfasts and three lunches on Thursday.
The meals will be distributed at these five school locations:
Boyd Elementary, 800 Jupiter Rd, Allen
Rountree Elementary, 800 E. Main Street, Allen
Reed Elementary, 1200 Rivercrest Blvd., Allen
Lindsey Elementary, 5730 Wilford Dr., McKinney
Ereckson Middle School, 450 Tatum Dr., Allen
All meal packages are priced according to the students eligibility. Parents and/or students can pick up the meals by scanning their student’s ID Card or providing their students ID number.
Families who qualify for reduced-priced meals will pay $1.40 for Tuesday bundle of four meals and $2.10 for Thursday’s bundle of six meals.
The full price is $7.70 for Tuesday’s bundle and $11.55 for Thursday’s bundle. Some students will qualify for free meals.
Families can still apply for reduced-price lunches here. The deadline to apply August 21st.
