Plano, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A shoe memorial for a slain jogger in Plano grew by the hundreds since her random killing while over the weekend; over one-thousand pairs of shoes will now go to needy families.
The non-profit ‘Trusted World’ picked up the shoes which were donated shoes in honor of Sarmistha Sen, who was killed during her run on Plano Trail Saturday morning .
Our media partner, WFAA-TV reports that other joggers would remove their shoes, leave them near a tree along the trail and keep running barefoot.
Plano resident told the station that she was the first to lay down a pair of shoes in front of a tree along a trail in Plano, she never thought the memorial for a slain jogger would grow so huge.
