Organizers of Back the Blue Crusade Say They Were Duped

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Participants in a Back the Blue crusade across the metroplex on Sunday say there were set-up by a minister at Friendship West Baptist Church.

More than 2,000 vehicles were involved in the ride that started in Bedford and stopped at the church. Organizer Nathan Abrams says that’s when a confrontation ensued between the group and the church Pastor Freddie Haynes. Abrams added “we definitely were duped into the whole situation because we had permission to be there.”

In a Facebook video Haynes said to bring such a group to the church was an act of intimidation. “Blue lives matter,’ or whatever you’re talking about — at this point, if you ain’t saying ‘black lives matter,’ you might as well have a Klan rally,”

There was one person in the group flying a confederate flag and he was asked to leave.
