
Chicago, IL (WBAP/KLIF) – A new novel coronavirus study found that 78-percent of recovered patients had permanent heart damage.
Findings of the University Hospital-Frankfurt study was published in the JAMA Cardiology Journal, a publication of the American Heart Association on Monday.
The study took a look at the cardiovascular MRI’s of 100 people who had recovered from the virus. The images showed that almost 80-percent of them had structural changes to their hearts.
Most of the patients had recovered from the virus at home with symptoms ranging from none-to-moderate.
Another study back in march, found cardiac damage to 19-percent of hospitalized patients in Wuhan, China, according to Newsweek; the Asian city where the first COVID case was diagnosed.
