Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – According to newly released stats by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, there have been over 750 residents and over 400 employees of nursing homes and assisted living centers who have contracted the COVID-19 in Tarrant County; at least 140 residents who died tested positive for the virus, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The numbers were released after a ruling earlier this month by Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office that said THHSC must publicly release the names of state facilities that have had outbreaks.
The agency operates 13 state-supported living centers and 10 state hospitals.
