Texas Judge Killed in Crash Involving Alleged Drunk Driver

(WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- A justice of Texas’ fifth district court of appeals has died in a drunk driving incident.

The three vehicle involved incident happened at around 9:30 Saturday night  on Westbound I-30 near FM 2642.

Police say 32-year-old Royse City resident Megan E Smith was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes when she hit two vehicles, one of those vehicles was being driven by Justice David L Bridges of Rockwall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Smith was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and was arrested by police and charged with intoxication man slaughter. She is now being held at Hunt County Jail.
