Dallas ISD Pushes Start of School Back to September 8th

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- As the Coronavirus pandemic continues Dallas ISD has made a big decision for the upcoming school year.

On Thursday, Dallas ISD trustees voted to push the start of the school year back to September 8th. Students and parents will then have a choice between in-person or online learning.

In the new school calendar, the district will drop three day weekends in October and add a holiday for the general election on November 3rd.

The last day of school has also been pushed back to June 18th, 2021, three weeks later than normal.
