Metroplex Reports Another 5,600+ Jump in COVID-19

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas confirmed another nearly 5,700 of Coronavirus and 43 additional deaths. The state has over 264,000 cases and more than 3,200 deaths, a 1.3% mortality rate.

Of the nearly 35,000 cases of COVID-19 reported in Dallas county, 457 patients have died. County health officials reported another 1,114 positive tests, today, and 6 additional deaths.

Tarrant county listed 322 newly confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, bringing the county total to almost 18,500. 272 Tarrant county residents have lost their lives.

Collin and Denton counties combined for another 265 confirmed cases for a total of almost 8,900 cases and 98 deaths.

Total Coronavirus numbers for the Metroplex have topped 62,000.  North Texas reported just over 1,700 new cases of COVID-19, Monday. dallas county has a 1.3% mortality rate, while Tarrant county has a 1.5% fatality rate.  Collin county has a 1.2% death rate, while denton county is the first county to drop below a 1% mortality rate.
