Dallas County Breaks Record with Over 550 New Cases Saturday

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Another record breaking day with Dallas County reporting 561 new COVID 19 cases and seven deaths.

“It is imperative that we all wear our masks outside of our homes and around other people,” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins tweeted Saturday afternoon. “It’s up to all of us to flatten the curve and the best way to do that is to #wearamask and #stayhomesavelives.”

Jenkins also called on Governor Greg Abbott to put in place a statewide, or at least regional, mask wearing policy for 30 days. Jenkins also saying Saturday that dining inside restaurants should be discouraged and if people must, they should do so on a patio.

Tarrant county reporting 377 new cases Saturday and two deaths.

Collin county with 139 new cases and one additional death.

Denton county reporting 49 new cases.

Statewide, Texas reported over 5,700 new cases Saturday.
