DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Vice President Mike Pence is will be taking a trip to Dallas this Sunday to speak with Governor Greg Abbott and his healthcare team about the fight against COVID-19.
Pence will also be visiting the First Baptist Church of Dallas, which has hosted presidents from Woodrow Wilson to George H.W Bush, and will be participating in the Celebrate Freedom Rally, an annual celebration of america’s freedom and spiritual foundation.
The event is predicted to bring 2200 people into the church. Pastor Robert Jeffress told WFAA-TV that even though COVID-19 is spreading rapidly, the event can be put on safely.
“I think we’re doing it in a responsible way and again this has been planed for over a year so our question was are we going to cancel it,” said Jeffress.
The Vice President will then return Washington D.C. later in the evening.
