(WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- NASCAR has officially banned the confederate flag from all tracks, races, and any other events the organization puts on.

“The black community and all people of color have suffered in our county and it has taken far too long for us to here their demands for change our sport must do better our county must do better,” said NASCAR president Steve Phelps.

This comes days after Bubba Wallace, the only black driver in the top level, said he wants to get rid of it at every track completely.

Wallace also drove a car dedicated to Black Lives Matter and wore a shirt that read “I Can’t Breathe,” in Wednesday night’s race.
