Texas Military Family of Six, Including Four Children, Found Dead in Garage of Their San Antonio Home

SAN ANTONIO (WBAP/KLIF News) – A welfare check turned revealed an unspeakable tragedy Thursday.

San Antonio police said a family of six, including four children between the ages of 11 months and 4 years old, were found dead in the back of an SUV in a garage.

Chief William McManus said officers had gone to the house for a welfare check when the father didn’t show up for work.

He said officers were overcome by the smell of carbon dioxide upon entering the home and that there was evidence that “it was not an accident.”

According to StarsandStripes.com, the family has military ties but Chief McManus did not detail which branch.

There was a “cryptic note on the door” in military jargon, according to the military news site.

McManus did not say that anyone outside of the family is suspected of being involved.
