FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Another North Texas based retailer is calling it quits amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fort Worth based home decor chain Pier 1 will be closing all of it stores 3 months after filing for bankruptcy shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic forced non-essential retailers to close their doors.
“the challenging retail environment has been significantly compounded by the profound impact of COVID-19, hindering our ability to secure such a buyer and requiring us to wind down,” said CEO Robert Reisbeck
The chain will now wait until retail stores are allowed to re-open to begin liquidating.
