DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- The To-Go alcoholic beverage opportunity has been popular throughout the state, but some want to make sure it stays.

President of the popular taco chain Rusty Taco Brendan Mauri has started a petition to allow to-go alcoholic drinks after the pandemic has ended.

“It’s something guest are looking for it’s something we can execute in a safe way and it’s something that should be allowed going forward,” said Mauri.

The petition has a goal of reaching 5,000 signatures and has already received over 3000.

Governor Greg Abbott allowed to-go alcohol services to continue past may 1st, and then tweeted,

“from what i hear from texans, we may just let this keep going on forever.”
