Denton County Announces Up to $10,000 in Grants for Covid Impacted Small Businesses

DENTON COUNTY – WBAP/KLIF – Denton County Commissioners have announced 2.2 million dollars in grants for businesses negatively impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Businesses are eligible for up to $10,000 in grants individually, and the first phase of applications will seek to find those smaller businesses, with 50 or fewer employees, whether fully or partially closed.

The County says individual grants will be awarded on factors such as need, eligibility, number of employees, loss due to full/partial shutdown, being deemed non-essential during the COVID-19 pandemic, and availability of funds.

Applications will be taken beginning Wednesday, May 13th, and the first phase targets smaller businesses in Denton County.  The program will run through noon on Wednesday May 20th.
