COVID-19 Deaths at Care Centers on the Rise

(WBAP/KLIF) — Coronavirus has ravaged nursing homes throughout the United States, killing more than 10,000 residents.  In North Texas, 54 residents of the Denton State Supported Living Center have died and for the month of April, 8 residents have died at Oxford Grand in McKinney.

 Coryanne Graham said all 8 lived in the Memory Care portion of the facility for people with dementia.  She says that wing has had 13 residents test positive for COVID-19 and is separate from assisted-living residents.

State officials say about 22,000 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Texas with 561 deaths.
