“My heart goes out to their families and all who are suffering during this pandemic,” said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. “Evidence continues to mount that the aggressive move to shelter in place on March 22nd is flattening the curve in Dallas County and North Texas. We are in the middle of this fight and we must not waver from the exercise of sound personal decision-making and smart physical distancing.”

Tarrant county reported four more deaths bringing the total there to 29. At least 23 people have died in Denton and Collin counties combined with more than 900 confirmed cases. Over 3,700 cases are confirmed across DFW and at least 94 people have died.

Meanwhile, hospital beds across DFW remain available. Twenty-five Dallas hospitals reported ventilator and bed capacity numbers to Mayor Eric Johnson’s office on Monday.

Below are the aggregate totals for Monday, as reported by the 25 hospitals:

  • Total beds: 5,771
    • Beds occupied: 2,888
