Hundreds of Dallas City Parks, Closed Easter Weekend

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, hundreds of Dallas City Parks will be closed this weekend.  The city announced that the closure of all 397 parks will be shut down.  The closure will remain in effect until 7a.m., Monday.  According to the city, trails will remain open, but users will still be required to follow social distancing guidelines.

The city of Dallas website said the city is working with public health partners at Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS), The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Centers for Disease Control to ensure the city has best practices in place for the general public.
