TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Former Texas Rangers baseball star Josh Hamilton has been indicted by a Tarrant County grand jury on a felony injury to a child charge.
The 38-year old was accused of hitting his oldest daughter in September of 2019.
Hamilton reportedly hit his daughter after she made comments that upset him. He accused of throwing a water bottle at her chest, as well as pinning her to abed and repeatedly hitting her in the back and legs.
According to Keller police records, he told his daughter to tell a judge “what a terrible dad I am,” to ensure that she would never have to go to his house again.
Court records show that his ex-wife, Katie Hamilton, filed for a temporary restraining order against him on behalf of his daughter.
