Statler Offers Free Hotel Room for Medical Heroes

(WBAP/KLIF) — As COVID-19 pushes the medical community to the brink with long hospital shifts, the Statler Hotel in downtown Dallas is providing relief.

Celina Mayor Sean Terry says they want to support healthcare heroes with free accommodations. Terry says the long hospital hours and risk of spreading Coronavirus to their families is what motivated the effort.

The mayor and Centurion are working with area hospitals, including Baylor Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Children’s Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital, to identify medical personnel in need of respite.

Medical professionals can check into a room and receive meals free of charge. According to WFAA, Terry, along with Centurion American, is providing the service. The web site link to reserve a room is available at: [email protected]
