(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas governor Greg Abbott and Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins appear at odds over COVID-19 pop-up hospitals. Governor Abbott’s chief of staff drafted a letter to Dallas county questioning why no plans were in place to utilize the Kay Bailey Convention Center as a COVID-19 pop-up hospital.

The disagreement appears to have more to do with miscommunication than it does with conflicting directives, which has Jenkins frustrated over the lack of contact.
Jenkins says the county plans to use the convention center once hospital bed capacity warrants it.
