Fort Worth Chamber Partners with Fort Worth HR to assist local employers with COVID-19 Resources

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and Fort Worth HR are partnering to provide tools and resources to local employers and Human Resource professionals as COVID-19 emerges as a global concern.

Employers and HR professionals can expect to find a list of references and resources that allow them to operate their business effectively in light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak.

The partnership will provide guidance in uncertain situations like determining when to send coughing workers home and paid sick leave. The resources will also include employer communication tools to combat spreading the virus.

“Our top priority is remaining resourceful for our members,” said Brandom Gengelbach, President of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, “We will continue to update this resource page as we receive additional information.”

The resource page will also contain a link to a submission form for employers to ask their own questions related to the pandemic as it pertains to their employees. Fort Worth HR representatives will respond to individual questions as they are received.

“There are a lot of unknowns in situations like this,” said Jon Evans, President of Fort Worth HR, “Employers need to be prepared and develop contingency plans. Our goal is to properly educate our Fort Worth business owners on how to manage this situation in a delicate manner.”
