DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The 41st edition of the Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade is scheduled for 11 am this Saturday. The Greenville Avenue Area Business Association (GAABA) organizes the event in cooperation with the City of Dallas.
Boston, Mass and Dublin, Ireland have canceled this years parades due to the coronavirus outbreak aka COVID-19.
Kevin Velva, chairman of the GAABA, says he is in close touch with city officials about health concerns and will follow their advice, as of now the parade is on.
The Dallas event is the largest St. Patrick’s parade in the southwest. Organizers expect 90 float entries and more than 17 hundred participants. It’s anticipated that 125 thousand plus people will attend.
The two mile route begins at Greenville and Blackwell St and ends at Yale Blvd/SMU Blvd and 75 Central Expressway.
