ASSOCIATED PRESS – WBAP/KLIF – More than one thousand passengers aboard an ill-fated two week cruise ship taking them from San Fransisco to Hawaii, who have been circling in international waters for days, will be taken from a non commercial port in Oakland, California, before a 14 day quarantine period at U S military bases. The docking is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.
21 people have tested positive for Covid 19 aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship; that was several days ago, and more may be infected.
The ship was denied docking at several ports. Those who need medical attentionwill be taken to health care facilities, the federal government says; others willbe taken to quarantine facilities at military bases in San Antonio at Lackland AFB, two military bases in California, and another now set up in Georgia. Officials say crew members will be treated and quarantined aboard the ship.
