WBAP/KLIF – DALLAS – Dallas County Elections Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole announces a recount of the Dallas County primary elections in March, after discrepancies were found with thumb drives from 44 of the precinct scanner and tabulator machines.
Of the 44 thumb drives, 16 were not received in a timely manner at the elections department, it’s alleged, and 28 more were from voting machines not scheduled to be used, but were used by volunteer election officials.
With a paper vote backup now in play, a district court is being asked to allow Dallas County to authorize the recount of the paper ballots through the central counting station tabulator.
