Miguel a. Campos Maravillas was accused of speeding when his car collided with another carrying 5 teenagers at the intersection of Mansfield Highway and Glen Eden Drive.
Video of the wreck showed the red Nissan Sentra driven by an 18-year-old did not come to a complete stop at a stop sign and eased its way into the intersection, when Maravillas’ Buick Verno collided with it traveling at just over 70 miles an hour. But the speed limit was just 45.
Yosmeri Mendez and Dianaluisa Lopez were pronounced dead at the scene, while Natalie Castro was pronounced nine days later at the hospital.
