COLLIN COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- After 8 hours of deliberations, a Collin County jury has sentenced 28-year-old Brandon McCall to death for the murder of Richardson Police Officer David Sherrard.
The same jury just one week ago found McCall guilty of capital murder for killing Sherrard after Richardson Police responded to a shooting call at the apartment McCall was staying at. McCall also murdered his roommate Rene Gamez the Second on the same day.
Sherrard’s wife took the witness stand Tuesday.
“He was my best friend,” said Emily Sherrard. “These past two years have really been hard not being able to text him, even if I do send a message to his phone knowing he isn’t going to see it.”
