UNT’s Kimi Lynn King Talks Texas Super Tuesday

(WBAP/KLIF) — With talk of Texas turning from red to blue during the next presidential election, Bernie Sanders is riding the wave.  The senator from Vermont leads the Democratic Primary candidates as Super Tuesday approaches next week.

The latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll shows Sanders leading with 24%, Joe Biden second with 22%, and Elizabeth Warren at 15%.

According to University of North Texas’ Dr. Kimi Lynn King, although statistical data shows a slight shift to blue, the fact is Texas is a leading Republican state.  King believes the key statistic to monitor is the early voter turnout for both parties.

King says it’s facinating to see the shift in fortunes for Bernie Sanders who experts believe is the potential  winner that has a good chance to defeat President Trump this November.  Super Tuesday is March 3rd in Texas.
