Lewisville Police Seize $1.2 Million in Meth in Department’s Largest Drug Bust in History

LEWISVILLE  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Acting on a tip about a suspicious trailer, the Lewisville Police Department seized almost 595 pounds of methamphetamine in the largest drug bust in the department’s history.

The drugs, worth an estimated street value of $1.2 million, is also the largest bust for the department’s K-9 Stryker.

According to a police statement, Lewisville PD K-9 Officer Pat Robey got a call Sunday afternoon to assist with another agency in regards to an anonymous tip it received about a trailer located near a major highway.

Police said when Robey and Stryker conducted a search of the truck, Stryker alerted officers to the presence of drugs.

Robey then offered the Lewisville Police Department as a safe location to continue to the search of the trailer.

The department has not said whether anyone was arrested in connection with the drug bust.
