DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- A petition has been made to keep the ‘Leaning tower of Dallas’ and so far over 300 people have signed.
The elevator shaft of an 11-story office building imploded on Sunday still stands at a 15 degree lean and Dallas residents have flocked to take pictures of it.
It’s made national headlines and residents can’t seem to get enough of it. The petition was made to save the last portion of the building from destruction, and keep it as a Dallas landmark.
It’s unlikely the leaning tower will stay because demolition is expected to be completed this week to make room for new condos and shops.
However, the Dallas Developer does plan to memorialize the leaning tower in that area.
